Amanda Gomez, MS-CCC-SLP/Owner

Amanda graduated in 2001 from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Across the Lifespan. She received her Master's of Science degree in Communication Disorders in 2005 from Western Kentucky University, where she was a member of the Gamma Beta Phi  Honor Society (GPA in top 20% of her class). She is certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), licensed by the State of Georgia and a member of the Georgia Speech-Language Hearing Association (GSHA), and a member of the American Academy of Private Practice in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She has received a Certificate of Mastery for Dr. Stanley Greenspan's "Professional Course on The Greenspan Floortime Approach" (DIR/Floortime Model), "a framework that helps clinicians, parents, and educators conduct a comprehensive assessment and develop an intervention program tailored to the unique challenges and strengths of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other developmental challenges." She is a certified provider for the FastForword​ Program, "a radically different online reading intervention that targets foundational phonemic awareness, language, memory, attention, processing, and sequencing skills." She is also a certified provider for Reading with TLC, a research-based, clinically proven program that simultaneously trains phonemic awareness, speech production, & phonics using a multisensory approach. She is trained in Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention program, which addresses issues concerning Oral Motor Patterns and Oral Motor Impairments. She has worked in the field of Special Education and Speech-Language Pathology since 1999, and has special interests in Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), phonological processing disorders, articulation disorders, and Yoga Therapy. She is also a wife, and a full time mother to 3 wonderfully crazy children.


                 





Jennifer Johnson, MCD-CCC-SLP

Jennifer graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Education in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of West GA in 2013, and received her Master's of Communication Disorders from Auburn University in 2015. She is certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), as well as licensed by the State of Georgia. Jennifer has experience working in the public school system, private clinics, and skilled nursing facilities. She has experience working with early language developmental disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, fluency disorders, dyslexia, hearing impairments, autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, trach/vents, adult dysphagia, aphasia, and voice disorders. Jennifer's special interests include early intervention, down syndrome, autism, and pediatric feeding/swallowing disorders. She is trained in the Sequential Oral Sensory Approach (S.O.S.), "a trans-disciplinary program for assessing and treating children with feeding difficulties and weight/growth problems from birth to 18 years. It integrates posture, sensory, motor, behavioral/learning, medical and nutritional factors to comprehensively evaluate and manage children with feeding/growth problems." She is trained in Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention program, which addresses issues concerning Oral Motor Patterns and Oral Motor Impairments. Jennifer has also completed the Talk Tools "Feeding Therapy: A Sensory Motor Approach" course. She works full time in the Sugar Hill office. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, being outdoors, photography, and anything creative!


                 





Christina Daniel, MCD-CCC-SLP

Christina graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia in 2011, and received her Master's of Communication Disorders from Auburn University in 2015. She is certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), as well as licensed by the State of Georgia. Christina has experience working the public school system, private clinics, and skilled nursing facilities. She has experience working with receptive/expressive/pragmatic language disorders,   articulation and phonological disorders, fluency disorders, autism, sensory integration disorders, adult dysphagia and aphasia, and voice disorders. Christina's special interests include: fluency and pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders. She currently works full time for the Forsyth County School system, and a few hours a week in the Sugar Hill office. In her free time, Christina enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and traveling.


                   





Lauren Young, MCD-CCC-SLP

​Lauren graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Auburn University in 2013, and received her Master's of Communication Disorders from Auburn University in 2015. She is certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), as well as licensed by the State of Georgia. Lauren has experience with outpatient pediatrics, acute care adults and pediatrics, as well as in private clinics. She has experience treating feeding disorders, articulation disorders, receptive/expressive language disorders, fluency disorders, autism, adult language disorders, and dysphagia. Lauren's special interests include: pediatric dysphagia/swallowing, early language development, and developmental delay. She is currently working full time in the Sugar Hill office. In her free time, Lauren enjoys college football, traveling, spending time with her husband, and exploring local parks and restaurants. 



                





Carey Amos, MS-OTR/L

Carey graduated in August 2012 with her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree from Brenau University. Throughout her career, Carey has gained experience in several out-patient settings, school-based settings, Acute Care, Home Health Care, as well as a school-based TheraWeb position. She is certified by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), as well as licensed by the  State of Georgia. Carey currently enjoys working full time with adults in home health care settings, as well as part-time in in our private pediatric clinic in Sugar Hill. She has a special interest in pediatric sensory disorders. When Carey is not serving patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and puppy, and planning for her new baby to arrive.

Rosario Miranda

Rosario is the Billing and Accounts Manager. She has extensive training and experience dealing with insurance companies and billing practices through out the United States. Jessica Provost

Jessica takes care of appointments, scheduling, doctor referrals, records, and other daily office tasks. She retired from Gwinnett County Schools after more than 25 years and now enjoys working at Motor Mouth Therapy Services Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings.


               





Emily Soucia

Emily takes care of filing authorizations, scheduling, doctor referrals, and other daily office tasks. She is an Art History Graduate from Kennesaw State University, and also offers art camps at Motor Mouth Therapy Services. She enjoys substitute teaching for Gwinnett County Schools, and working at Motor Mouth Therapy Services Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoon/evenings.

Who We Are

​Motor Mouth Therapy Services was established in 2007 in order to provide speech-language & occupational therapy solutions for the pediatric population in Sugar Hill, Buford, Gainesville, Cumming, Flowery Branch, Oakwood, Suwanee, and surrounding areas. We provide personal, friendly service in a fun and caring environment for children of all ages. All of our therapists are Board Certified and State Certified. Our services include consultation, screenings, evaluations, diagnosis, and therapy.
